Description In ancient mythology, the cornucopia or 'horn of plenty' was a divine horn or container that provided an unlimited supply of food (although there are many differing stories explaining its origin). It has since become a symbol of abundance and the harvest season.

Made with Apophysis 7X.

Hi there! I just realized I unwittingly used this image to illustrate a workshop I've given on abundance last week, thinking it was free of rights (Google mislead me!). I'm very sorry! As I really love it, I would like to use it again next time I lead that workshop, so I was wondering if you would be willing to sell me a license to use it on my website/facebook to advertise this specific event. You can see it here by scrolling down to "Ateliers passés": www.laureporche.com/ateliers-1… Let me know if you want me to take it down, or if we can find an arrangement for me to keep using it Thanks a lot and congratulations on gorgeous work!

Hi, Chris! It was past time to feature your fractals, so I did! Defying GravityLike hardship was your trampoline, your tenacity was your elasticity. Pressing down on your goal unseen, you slipped the grip of gravity, and now you're in the atmosphere. Hope's reborn, goodbye to fear, for triumph's gift is that of knowing, God grace with you is ever-flowing. ~ My friends and fellow artists, by my 53rd birthday the day after tomorrow, I will have overcome gravity by the loss of 55 pounds, and though I may not be as fit as the ladies in the martial arts video below, I have more energy and a new encouragement in my spirit. I share my joy by celebrating today these inspiring examples of rising above the ground--artists who have defied the ordinary, pursuing and achieving excellence in art. ~ Please stop by their galleries, and then, give that trampoline of yours a few more bounces...keep trying and you too can touch the sky.  Love always in Christ, -Debra

Thanks, I'm glad you think so. I'm always trying to do something slightly different with my fractals, even if it's sometimes just a different camera angle.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. Getting the overall shape how I wanted took quite a while... I went through several different versions/renders before deciding on one I liked, hehe.

Thanks! It was good practice for playing with colouring (and especially colour speeds...). It took a while to get everything to fit together properly, hehe.

You didn't do any colours in Chaotica, right? All in Apo7x, I suppose?

I edited the colour balance slightly in Photoshop to bring out the red more. Here is what it looks like without the edit - since it's fairly minor, and could probably be done by editing the gradient directly, I didn't mention it in the description. The gradient I used is 077_kandinsky.comp-9.ppm, which comes with Apophysis 7X 15B, I think. It has a good range of colour in it for fractals like this one!

I haven't actually tried Chaotica, although having seen people's results with it, I'm tempted to give it a go. I just imagine it'd be a big learning curve, and it's taken me long enough to get to grips with Apo...

Ah, that explains it. ^^

Chaotica has wonderful use for colouring and colour mutation, it has to be the best fractal program around, imo!
