Galaxina-the-Magi drew a really cute mother's day picture, which made me want to try and design the kids in their current age! But I goofed and mixed up Kayla and Maya's tail and ear shapes. I think the colors are nice though.

Aaron was my favorite to draw! Decided to try and give him a more orange color palette so he could look more like a gold fish. Kinda of wanted to throw in some splashes of black in white so he'd look like one of those koi fish, but it'd seemed to much. Plus, Galaxina pointing out that he looked like a gold fish makes his design super cute, and I wasn't even thinking about that when I was coming up with his color scheme.

From what I've picked up about Kayla is that she's a grump, so thought it would be funny if she ended up with all of Phineas' and Isabella's non-threaten traits. I bet Kayla would be a little envious of Maya growing little shark fins like Phineas. Of course she doesn't need them to be threaten, but the amount of pranks she could have pulled on innocent fishermen makes it a little disappointing. Also, I gave her a little shawl to wrap around her shoulders to replace her sweater. Something light that wouldn't weigh her down while she's swimming.

Maya's got such a precious little face, and I love her little curls! But honestly figuring out a suitable palette for her took forever! I love her yellow dress, so I wanted her tail and scales to resemble that, but I had to add some blue just so she could pop out a little more. Her yellow face scales kept getting lost in her hair, so that's why they're such a strong shade of blue. Also her freckles are so cute?? They're like literal sun kisses!

I already drew a pretty clear picture of how Ian looks, so there was no point in me doing a reference pose for him. But seeing how he's the first Selkie kid in the Flynn household, I bet he'd unknowingly give Isabella and Phineas a hard time. Everyone knows that Mermaid's have sharp teeth, but no one warned these two about the fact that Selkies can kinda sorta unhinge their fucking jaws?!?!more of a personal head-canon to be honest, I don't know if Selkie' in Mythology can do that, but because I like giving Phineas a hard time so I'm saying they can. One thing that Selkie' hybrid do have is black eyes, so maybe when ever Ian's interested in something his pupils expand, but when he's on edge they shrink like a cat.
