A LOT of digital painting... Approx. 13 hours of work all in Photoshop CS, I couldn't sleep last night and this is what I came up with

A long time ago, I took a quiz. It was called "What is your fantasy name?" I took it, and I got the name "mashnip". Above it, however, was the most beautiful picture of a faerie. Ever since then, I have used the username "mashnipfaeri" many, many times.
This is that picture.
Wonderful, amazing work. The texture of the skin is smooth, the rustles in the dress are almost flawless, and the wings are absolutely gorgeous.
Not only do I have to say nice job, but thank you. Thank you for drawing this picture and giving me my username.

This is incredible. I don't even know where to begin. The realism is stunning, the colours are absolutely amazing, right down to the folds in her dress and the light on her hair. The wings are what made me stop and stare (for longer; obviously, the whole thing made my jaw drop), though. The transluscency of them. They look delicate yet strong, and I love the dark colours. They remind me of an oil slick, all purples and greens and slight sheen. I love the utter alabaster perfection of her skin, and the hint of colour from her make-up. This is definitely favourite worthy.
