Awe Thank you! I'm glad I can an inspiration ^_^
What material did you use for the main red/white striped body? It certainly looks good because of the texture it brings gives it a very halloween look. I would have a hard time making that from wood D:

The body was constructed from a medium gauge wire, soldered together at the joints. Below are some of the pictures of the build, to help.

I then ran plaster wrap around the skeleton. Filled in the skin with gesso, then painted it with acrylics and sealed. I must give credit to Pixiekitty. After reading about how she uses the wire, I came up with the idea for the skeleton.

Happy to see you enjoy our work.

I originally asked a friend which keyblade she wanted, and this was one of two she mentioned. So I set out to make it for her, and after many hours, it's finally complete.

Thank you for the warm comments! It did actually take me somewhere around 30 hours to complete, over a few months. Much of that time was experimenting with the processes involved, but I really wanted to produce a piece for this keyblade that I have yet to see matched.

You are very much welcome, you deserve it!
Goodness that is a lot of time, it's difficult to finish long term projects like that - I praise your patience haha!
May I ask what you used to make it?

Of course! The skeleton for the blade portion is made from soldering galvanized steel wire together in sections. It was then filled with expanding insulation foam, after being wrapped in plaster wrap. There is a wooden dowel that runs up the majority of it, which also serves as the handle. The guard is a piece of fiberboard cut to shape with a Dremel router. There is some minor clay work for the deer's face, and Zero is cut from pine board. The pumpkins were perfectly sized wooden balls found at our local craft store, painted of course. Hmm...I believe that leaves the teeth on the snake, which are also air dry clay.

Hehe, hope you can follow that mess of a paragraph!

Oh wow, that's a lot of serious crafting (especially for the blade portion)!
Bringing all those elements together certainly paid off
Will look forward to your future projects!
