Hee I bought him, as well as several other pieces this year. He sits in a place of honor on my shelf! Keep bringing amazing creatures to Anime North, and I will keep giving them loving homes!

I love this one so much I almost didn't sell it. It's good to know my critters are well loved.

You make your posables the same way I do. This one is definitely my favorite of yours, will you make more?

I've already got one partially sculpted. It's sort of a dinosaur skeleton inspired one with probably black fur again.

This one will probably be sold at an Anime Convention, but I'm willing to make them to order as commissions.

Coolie just let me know how much you are planning on selling them for and I will see what I can scrounge up.

This is so cute! I love how you combine the clay and sewing. I've never understood how people do that haha XD

When combining the sculpey to the material, do you simply glue it to the outside, or is there something more important that you do to make it stay on?

Couch-stuffs In reply to Kerpow [2011-01-22 04:19:44 +0000 UTC]

I shave all the fur off of the area I'm gluing, and sometimes I'll slit the fabric and glue part of the clay on the inside. I've never had a problem with anything falling off yet.

Oh! also, do you coat your sculpey piece with anything to protect the paints?

If I have it, I'll use sculpey gloss, though regular acrylic gloss/gel works too.

Oh, and this gloss doesn't make it shiny?

Couch-stuffs In reply to Kerpow [2011-01-23 21:13:54 +0000 UTC]

Depends on the type. There are glossy and matte finishes. I like to use the glossy ones for teeth and eyes.

Oh yeah, I never even thought about matte finish. Do you think a spray varnish is suitable? Thank you for answering all of my questions.

It probably would work fine, I just haven't tried it myself.

I guess it all depends on what type of glue you use. XD
thank you.
