well... I first thought it was a lute... but this thing is a japanese "Biwa" which is really odd in the place you painted...

This is gorgeous! The texture of the green tree trunks, the shafts of light from the canopy, the little yellow and purple flowers, the tranquil green bird by the musician's foot...and the blueness of everything...

It's so enchanted. I would love to be in a place like that.

I think since it is a fantasy piece, and since musicians always find new ways to do things, it's ok . He got the birds to listen to him so he did something right ... also the fact that you chose something other than the usual acoustic guitar really makes your art interesting
