I love the concept. so simple and well done. I'd translate this into portuguese for you via babelfish, but it would butcher your language, lol.

I understand what you say...
I am Portuguese... it doesn't mean that I don't know other languages...

Thanks very much***

lol, despite being an American ( over ambitious, undereducated and ignorant as hell), I'm not entirely typical. What I mean to say is, I've met quite a few Europeans, and every last one of them speaks their native language, a second related to it and usually a third that is completely different in root (slavic, greek, etc.) So I figured that you would understand me perfectly well, I just feel that it is nice to respond in someones language that they grew up with. Most people in my country don't even speak english correctly (Ever listen to President Bush speak? yeah, it's like that, but usually not as bad. Usually.) Keep making great things. I'm glad I found your photo. gives me a standard to aim for.

lol
I really like my language...I love how it sounds!!
But nowadays, english is very important. some books of my university are in your language!
and... I had 7 years of english and 3 of french at school!

Maybe one day you will learn portuguese...
the only language that has the words:
Saudade and Fado
Words that can not be translated.
**************

and.. yeah.. your president is... "different"
that guy thinks that he's some kind of a comedian... XDD (a bad comedian for sure) lol

My president? Whoa, I didn't vote for the guy. I may be American, but I do think, lol. As far as comedy, more like Dante's Infierno with that fool in office. *sigh* maybe if my culture had a little more of your culture, we wouldn't be the mess we are. It's hard to find anyone in this country that even speaks this language without butchering it to pieces; and you speak 3. Myself, I carry myself fairly well in english, my spanish is, eh, asi-asi, I know a little russian (very little. can be very polite or quite rude, lol) and that's about it. I need to work on those two.

Saudade and Fado - anything that comes close to explaining what they mean? you've piqued my interest.

Sorry for the delay in reply.
Ok, me being a silly American, here is my take on Fado -"the feeling you get when an exotic beautiful women sings in a strange and wonderful language, in way haunting and wonderous." Am I even close to the definition? wonderful links by the way. I enjoyed them very much. My sister does something similar in the regard to the heavy moorish/moslem influence I heard in those songs. I'd love it if you would check her out on myspace (and she'd appreciate it too). I think you might enjoy it. Not all the music in my country is garbage. At least hers isn't, but I'm biased. her stuff has a rougher edge, and she needs to update the recordings, but they at least are different from what everyone else is doing.
