Description
Well, they do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so here is my take at it. Before I go any further, I do want to state this is a parody/fan-version of a work created by Crydius that I rather adore. He sports a rather wonderful series on here that captured my interest the moment I saw it, and have been thinking about this little project since then. Here is the link to his original version:

After seeing how wonderful his works were, and how much I was enjoying the story, I had a thought: what if a force rose up to appose his dark Adepts? Not the heroes of the Heartguard, who were bonded out of common purpose and character, but rather a different order of beings. Beings who in their heyday had been pitiful souls, ones who had come so close to greatness or had achieved it and lost it, or beings that left their worlds with regrets and desires to do more, or ones that barely reached some form of peace before being reduced to mere memories. Ones when offered the chance to make amends, to fix their mistakes, or at least to say goodbye, grasped it. The only price for this was simple: to wage war in Death's name against those who threaten to snuff out Life. For without Life, what is the point of Death?
Granted, this is just based on the idea of the many worlds/lands in Kingdom Hearts, with one world's version of Death taking an interest in the lights going out. And many of these characters are not my own - only two are, the Could've Been King (a personification of Death, and the leader of this poor group) and Seal (a mage that excels in binding magic, and is the first ally the King recruited). The rest belong to their respective creators/franchises, and the entire group will be listed below. Also, since this is a list of the dead, all of these characters come from points in their series after they died, so spoilers are inbound. Some might not be identical to their original versions – Jubileus, for example, is normally a Kaiju-sized being of unlimited power, but instead is confined to a human-sized version with the basic powers of a witch. Others just have minor difference from their normal counterparts – 12, for example, wears a reinforced version of his normal outfit, not just a latex suit.
Finally, I would just like to once more state my love of Crydius's wonderful series, and I cannot wait to see how it turns out.
