I didn't had the right tools for the job. So here is the ingredients for this.
- 1x table light (tungsten bulb)
- 1x electric blue transparent paper
- Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 USM L
- Manfrotto 055 PRO B
- Manfrotto 488RC2 Ball Head
- Flash On
This is my very first attempt taking still life with frozen water shots. Kind of wet my camera, but it was worth it! Shot in a kitchen basin, I couldn't afford a studio unit with fancy lightings. And this is all I have, but i'm looking forward to do something a lot more better then this

How did you get such a crisp result?
I'm trying to figure out a similar thing, have water splashing on something, or have something dropped in a glass of water.
It's for an assignment and I'm finding it quite difficult

Depsite your lack of professional studio, my opinion is that not having a studio didn't matter at all. You captured the moment perfectly, whether or not this was the first or thousandth try. Excellent job!
(In fact, I think catching a seemingly professional photo that was actually cauht in a sink basin shows how talented you are. =] )
