It would be almost impossible to pick a fave in your gallery. Incredible work. I loved the way the water came out in this photo.

Did you replace a previous version of this photo?

I did. I re-edited it recently. Though, I'm not sure if it's better/worse. Thoughts?

Hi, I prefer the first version. The colors looked more natural to me.

Have a look at it now and tell me what you think. It's very close to the original, but a little more colorful. I found the original to be quite desaturated -- this one feels a little closer to "what was actually there."

My opinion is that the first one had a more pleasing and subtle color presentation. If I recall it had cool and warm tones mixed in. Of course, color is a very personal matter, and processing for color is a challenge for me in editing my own photos.

Astounding image ... is edited with that program that you told me before ?

I'm not sure what program I told you before, so I can't say. I edited this entirely with Capture One by Phase One. Pretty similar to Lightroom. I don't think I used any Photoshop at all.
Thanks for stopping by.

You told me that you used Photomatix in another image. I have downloaded a free trial version and I am practicing with it... Anyway, I have to practice with photoshop too...
Your images deserve to stop and look. Thanks for taking this beautiful images to the ones who cannot go there and see by themselves !

Weird, I can't say that sounds familiar -- I honestly hate Photomatix. I think the results it produces are generally too "surrealistic" and or "kitschy." I played with it about five years ago, when I was new to photography, but haven't touched it since.
What image did I say this about? Generally, I tell people to steer clear of Photomatix, and invest in graduated neutral density filters and shoot in RAW, instead.
Thanks for your incredibly kind comments.

I must beg your pardon... maybe is my mistake and was another deviant who told me about the post edition with Photomatix... I have to agree with you, the outcome is ... not so natural.
My camera (even is not ... letΒ΄s say) so good, can shoot & keep in RAW format, but I have troubles for keeping in JPEG format later... Can you recommend to me any freeware for that ?
Thank you again for your kind suggestions.

Beautiful photo with great composition!
Perhaps an ND Grad filter to darken the sky to the same exposure as the water would have improved it but well timed shot none the less!!!

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I felt extremely lucky to have caught such a spectacular sunset. They're pretty rare this time of year in the north west. . .
