I can totally see this happening in a high school fanfic. Luffy has a secret crush on Nami, who already has a boyfriend: an overly-jealous Sanji who can't stand when he sees Nami talking to other guys, even if they're her friends.

My first thought was; reminds me of Shanks and Makino
This is one of those anime pictures that looks so real, yet unlike a lot of those, the original characters' faces, hair and poses are the same! I love that you kept the signature 'Luffy's grin' and 'Nami's smile', it only adds to the relaxed feeling. The mood is absolutely governed by the warm tones, you can't ever mistake this for a sad place even if absent of people.
The outfits too are flattering, I always pictured a modern Luffy to be in a sleeveless hoodie. Of course Nami looks good in waitress clothing. - I bet that jar has money in it.
The flowers up close give some dimension to the bar and makes it look like a professional photograph or painting.
