Wow I kind of feel ashamed for not knowing which giant is which and what they rule over. Who was Alph again?

But this is a job well done! The giants are so complicated, I tried drawing Humbaba and gave up

Alph is giant of creation, rules over all making skills like woodmaking, blockmaking, etc.

Haha drawing is one thing, modeling is more complicated since you have to create the shapes for every part, including behind and bottom. Well, the giant complications (lol it's not like the giants are sick or something) are what makes the giants awesome, isn't it?

Of course. I love all the detail. I noticed they all have a lot of eyes or most of them...

When I heard "giants created the world" I thought it was one of those humanoid, jack and the beanstalk type of giants. I was surprised to discover that Glitch giants were a lot more unique.

Yeah. Glitch giants are equal to gods. Well, many things in glitch is out of the box anyway sometimes you'll see that what you expect did not happen in glitch

That's the point of Glitch.

I remember in my first days:

Rock: You're gonna need some eggs for this. You do know where eggs come from?

Me: Of course. They come from egg plants.

Really well done! Can't wait to see Spriggan and whoever else you decide on. Lem would be great, though Grendaline is my personal favorite.

Thanks & glad you like it I got held by things (mostly work) so spriggan will not be done until next week.

I'll do three for now, since they're planned to appear in the animation Alph was the last giant to appear in the closing so I modeled him first, we were planning to include Spriggan too, however the other one is undecided yet.. personally I think it should be Lem, since he's the most favourite giant of all glitches

nice looks like we don't have to paint the textures anymore. If you want to put some rig on it, here's a glitch wiki with Alph's animation:

Nice model It's a weird creature!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Councilor In reply to Torquinox [2013-01-15 06:43:19 +0000 UTC]

It's a deity from an MMO game that I and shukugumo played. And it'll make an appearance in the animation we are making right now

Actually it reflects quite a bit of my country's local culture, i feel like at home

Torquinox In reply to Councilor [2013-01-15 09:01:49 +0000 UTC]

I see. I like it. I like the render, too. I got the feeling it's supposed to be big and powerful, but it doesn't really look scary. It's quite nice, though. I look forward to seeing the animation

Councilor In reply to Torquinox [2013-01-15 09:08:16 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. The design is not mine though and this deity is supposed to be playful.

And then me and shukugumo should do our best to create this animation

Torquinox In reply to Councilor [2013-01-15 15:38:46 +0000 UTC]

The design belongs to whoever did the game; but I know you could design stuff like that. I'd be interested to see what you'd do with it.

Excellent!

Councilor In reply to Torquinox [2013-01-15 16:13:53 +0000 UTC]

I could, given the time and research required... and some mood

Oh I gotta try pushing myself beyond mood nowadays, it won't be good if mood gets me when I need to focus on work

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Torquinox In reply to Councilor [2013-01-15 17:47:00 +0000 UTC]

The right mood is helpful but you don't want it to limit you. It's possible to mentally produce the right mood before starting to work. It's a meditation thing. It takes practice, but I think it's worth the effort.
