One of the few pictures took at Connecticon this year.It was pretty cool, Ariel (Manectric) and I were heading back to our hotel room when we saw Raquaza and had to take a quick picture!
Raquaza was pretty cool and fun to talk with!

Awww, I'm sure there are conventions that are around you, you just have to look around. But don't let a lack of convention stop you from making something awesome, or something you want to make!

The manikin head? You can get the smaller, white, Styrofoam ones at salons/hair styling places. The bigger ones which are more realistic, I'm not too sure, you can probably find them online. -shrugs-

Oh also would you recommend starting a head without a moving jaw first? It would probably make it simpler

Um, that's entirely up to you. My first head was a moving jaw, but I did that because it's what I wanted to do. Both will have their challenges and I've been told the moving jaw is harder (since it's usually a separate piece it sometimes ends up crooked), so do which ever you want to do most, but if you go with static make sure it's open a bit so you can get good ventilation!

You can always try to make a moving jaw and if it doesn't work just add foam to the bottom and make it static!

Yes I did have fun at the con. Infact I had a great time. I am doing rather well and me and m fiance have a plan to make him a Mewtwo mascot and my friend might do a mascot as well she's not sure which one though.
