LINK TO DECEMBERSVILLE STORY --> [link]Good krazzing maggot-skinned lawdy, I drew this after the night I dreamed I was drowning, but.... but... what the bloody hell does ZERO have to do with drowning? W-what, is it because he could not SWIM? Because he's got those big bloody never-the-same-size ax hands o' his? WOT IS THIS MADNESS?
What a schlemiel my noggin could be.
I am rambling due to what I lack saying about this piece; all I could say is that it is Zero, one of the central characters of Decembersville, standing around in his strange but usual position with that optimistic smile on his face, surrounded by... firefly/light glimmer dazzles~
AND THE DAHLING GREW UP IN STYLE AS TIME FLEW, RIGHT!? LOOK AT HIM TWO YEARS AGO!
This spews awesomeness compared to that bloody doodle of WHUT.
Yet... he's always standing awkwardly like he got stuck doing a pelvic thrust.
And his personality has not changed. I know its bloody stuuuupid to have a clean-hearted character dripping optimism and hope for they come off as wussy and cliche but... I like Zero like this. That's who Zero is. He is a clean kiddo.

I use inky pens to draw and ink the characters, but for shades I use crayola crayons and just lately I got the hang of Prismacolor markers to make special effects.

It looks like a dress when his legs are close like that, but he's really wearing a one-piece outfit and the bottom is separated into shorts. ^^ They are just very wide, so when together they look like a dress.

And you are right, man. I mean, I explain Zero's personality to folks and they are like "Wow. What a cliche and boring character." Kind of peeves me to say but not EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER has to be a jackass, you know? Not every single character has to be obnoxiously energetic, random, badass, over-the-top, or a jerk. Zero is a good guy because that's just who he is; he was raised to be sweet and he's just a great friend. Can't argue with that, right? XD

XD I remember! I never actually saw it when you had it, but other people have it in their artist comments or whatever.
YEAH. It gives some balance and some contrast. To be honest, for some reason I like to compare Chima and Zero to eachother, because to me, they seem like counterparts. Opposites, as it were. One is infallibly good, the other is just so flawed.
BUT I LOVE ZERO! His attitude is so adorable! Even while he's in a city that's in so much despair, he's still a nice, sweet, happy guy!

Yeah, I find that REALLY strange because that means that avatar Zero is lying around somewhere, abandoned and waiting to come back and kick my arse for revenge. But then I'll realize that he's just a pixelized box and toss 'im into the recycle bin then press "empty recycle bin" 'cause even though he's thrown away he'll just be taking up unnecessary space.

Dude, you are doing the thing I've been hoping most readers would do; comparing Zero and Chima together, which is why I make them hold a sparking relationship between one another - a sort of grudge. Which doesn't give folks a reason to bloody PAIR THEM UP, but hey, let them have their fun.

XD I have no idea when Imma change my avatar. I love it too much. If I do change it, it'll be like, for a week or so, before I put it back. My friends have gone through so many avatars, while I just... Kept mine. I dunno. I'm lazy that way.

I love character tensions, and especially 'uneasy friendship', like when Person A HAYTES Person B, but B keeps either being ridiculously nice, or ridiculously tolerant of Person A's being a tool.
... But I really love contrasting characters. It's actually the main focus of The Town that people dont pay attention to until I tell them. Ever wonder why the chapters flipflop between Tally and Bela? YEAH.

And... honestly, Wrev, that's what I ALWAYS figured about the Town. I mean, its not only about good vs evil, right vs wrong, its about contrasts; such as between Tally's situation on the light side vs Bela's situation on the dark side. How they clash, how they fight, how there's so much contrast in action yet such comparison in certain aspects. Its like a black-and-white coffee cookie, really. XD

Hallo, Kiki (last minute guy, you haven't met him), Bela, *spoiler person*, *more spoiler people*, and surprisingly, NOT Maybella! Anyway, the theme is, she learns something from each of these people. Like with Kiki, she learns to 'take the high road.'
