I know these kind of things are quite common on DA at the moment but i really wanted to try making one. It was meant to be a heart shaped chocolate but someone took an extra large bite out of it so it doesn't really look like a heart anymore! Haha!

Hi, sorry for such a late response, i'm so slack at replying Dx
I think for this one i used a clear, water based wood gloss, it's a thick, whiteish paste that dries clear but i don't like using it. I found a much better varnish to use since then; it's an acrylic floor varnish called Future, a lot of people use it for this purpose. Only problem is it's hard to get in certain countries, i had to order it from a models site in America: Great Models [link] < direct link to the varnish.
