John, you will know why I am uploading this picture and I hope it will give you a smile. Nothing like a bit of sun and sea to make one feel cheerful I always say!

This is British Rail Class 45 diesel electric No. 45114 coming through Dawlish Warren with the 12.02 Birmingham to Penzance service on September 11, 1985, but the train is not the main focus of the picture which is a panorama of Dawlish Warren itself. On the far left are Dawlish Warren station and signal box and the well-known camping coaches. In the background is the Exe estuary with plenty of money swinging around the buoys! On the sea wall pathway nobody is giving two hoots about the magnificent 'Peak' and its train. This view was taken from Langstone Rock.
