Description
Under an increasingly threatening sky, British Rail class 47 No.1677 Thor has brought the 13.30 Paddington-Penzance to Truro on August 3, 1973. The driver looks back for the guard's flag. I have jumped off in time to take a quick shot before the train sets off up the bank and I will then step across to the bay platform for the Falmouth train. The signal droops at the characteristic Western angle.The large agricultural warehouses in the background occupy the site of Truro's late lamented steam engine shed.
