Well, Her Ladyship graciously consented (finally) to come out and have her birthday photograph taken, wearing a freshly-laundered bandanna and of course her special rose!As you can see, she is delighted with the little cake that Mrs Brit baked for her and we shall all have a piece later on.
Having reached 19, Lady J is now entering her 20th year. We have only had one cat so far that has reached the age of 20 and that was Mrs Brit's 'Mugwump' (see my gallery pictures 'Not sure about the camera!' and 'It's that cat again'). Mugwump was a dear old lady and Lady J is too. Here's hoping she stays in good shape for a long while yet.

So yeah...I am hoping VERY much for the kind of good old age Lady J is having with you, for my cats. So far my cats don’t seem to have received the news that they’re old...especially not the one that still things she’s a kitten. I hope it stays that way for a long time.
And I hope you enjoy more quality years with Lady J.

Lady J still thinks she is a kitten too. I lost my dear Dennis at 14 with kidney problems that a lot of cats get. But you know, to some extent it's not how long they last but the pleasure and loyalty they give you while they are with you. If they get a nice long life it is a bonus for them and us! Dennis was more like a friend than a cat and he had a great sense of humour. My wife and I miss him still and we drink a toast to him each New Year (we lost him New Year's Eve 1998 so this year it will be 20 years).
I wish a long and healthy life for your kitties and enjoy every moment!

Happy 19th birthday to a very special little feline. This photo just made me laugh with so much joy.....how beautiful the cake looks and Lady J looking so pretty with her colorful scarf sticking her tongue out at us with that cute face.
