Remember that film 'The Bridges at Toko-Ri'? One of my favourites. Not quite the same aircraft as supposedly flown by Mr William Holden, as this is a Grumman F9F-5P Panther (Bu. No.Β 126275) whereas those in the film were F9F-2s. However, here it is, with a bit of damage, however caused,Β at Battleship Memorial Park, Mobile, Alabama, April 30, 2018.Battleship USS Alabama pokes up in the background.....

A fair bit of research turned up that she got hit by Katrina back in 2005.Β The hurricane flooded the park with 10 feet of water, and most of the exhibits were pushed around by the combination of water and wind, with varying degrees of damage resulting...
