I remember them in green, and the decision to paint them yellow so they were more visible on country roads. The telephone exchange and vehicle depot in Dumbarton still is next door to the town library.

I think it was the late '60s they started with the yellow.

It was early '70s. I remember Dumbarton having a J plate in green and an F plate in yellow (and then yellow and green disruptive as the yellow started shipping and pealing) at one point.

It's a 'Post Office Telephones' van Lana. The telecommunications side of the Post Office. Telephone engineers, that sort of thing.
