Back in the day (when they ran proper trains rather than 2 car DMUs) you used to be able to do the same at "Horseshoe Curve" on the West Highland Line.

These days the Jacobite (if it still exists as a service, only runs from Am Gearasdean* to Mallaig.
*Gaelic, which translates as "The Garrison", and is the Gaelic name for Fort William. Yes, that most assuredly is a political statement!
