theyre great! I had one as my first car, a little mini clubman (square front like the mini general lee shot) traveller.

Yep, cool. I loved my one's, loads of fun driving them. The only downside to them was long motorway drives, with those small wheels. All that steering, just to keep them in a straight line, lol.

I drove a new cooper a few weeks ago, the go alright... i didn't like the auto gearbox at all though, yet to try one in manual xP...

foreign engines its not a british model and its not exactly that small, so different from the original makes
i cant wait to get on my ssiters fiancee mini, 1000, hes kitting it all out now so i have to wait a while before i can go mad around a roundabout with it

Great shot! I love minis. My first car was a Mini 1000 which lasted about a year before I crashed it into a lamp post! Poor car. I then bought another Mini 1000 which I completely stripped down to the bear metal, resprayed BRG and rebuilt. I replaced the gearbox and cylinder head as they were shot and did some mild tuning. Took me all summer to do it but it was great fun and a real learning experience for me. I think it was on the road for less than 6 months before I rolled it and totalled it. Shame. But they were happy days!

Yep! Same here, I have a Mini 1100 Traveller! a great little car it was.
I put some big rally spotlights on it a square number plate (trust me, it was the 'in' thing back then) and some tein tone flail airhorns (ridiculously loud!) that sadly was the extent of my tuning. It did go very well though, it had ninety on the clock and with three other mates in it, I took it clear off the clock (obviously I was on a private road...ahem 
Thats a really bummer about rolling yours, have you ever considered getting another one, I certainly have, claw back some teenage memories! hehe!

yep, you got it. 90 on the clock, but the Clubman with the square front, didnt have the big round central speedo, it had a normal style cluster behind the steering wheel.
I really do fancy an old mini. I have always loved the pickups as well. Funnily enough, my cousin, who used to run a limo firm (he had Jaguars, Bentlys, Rolls etc etc) used to always drive a mini pick up, he loved it, and prefered it to all the big flash cars he had!

yep, they were indeed, I took a look at this as a photo possibility from a few angles, and some how it would have worked, this was the best angle I could get.
