Oh wow, I have two parakeets, male and female, 2 cockitiel brothers, and 2 female finch. Something in common, huh? And Lily [Female parakeet] will just attack anyone, or in my case, bite/chew/nibble >< She cant go one day without biting something, I swear.

My bird likes to take showers, too! He's never taken an actual bath in his little tub... he's taken showers since he was a baby.
He's so cute when he's wet!!!
Budgies are so awesome! They're way underrated...
But I have a question, since yours is a girl, can it talk? Mine (Charlie, a boy) can talk. I read in a book that males can talk, but females are better at mimicking movements. Is that true? I've only had boys (don't know how that worked out) so I don't know much about female budgies.

They absolutely love annoying me by swimming in their water when they think I'm not looking. Its only the water bowl, not their swimming bowl thing.. They are really underrated! No, Zara, and Zaketa, both cant talk. Meeko is still very young, but he has started to copy my sisters cockatiel when he wolf whistles... He makes a huge variety of sounds from mimicking his bell to mimicking other birds. My females don't really speak much, except if a flock of birds fly over and they are all like, 'BIRDS!!!"

Haha my bird has these little whiffle balls with bells inside (they're supposed to be cat toys, but he LOVES them!) and he used to always pick them up and throw them in his water dish and make it spill everywhere. But he doesn't do it that often anymore.
So I guess it's true then? Boys can talk but girls can't? Poor girls... haha
Same with my bird! He freaks out about birds and my dogs. Haha
