I don't know what her answer would be but just ask. Sometimes they might surprise you. The worst they can do is say no but from what it sounds like you'd be expecting that anyway, so it wouldn't be much of a surprise.

im always a fan of "almosts" (mike's god almost touching man's finger is a prime example)... great almost here too

I'm not sure if this was intentional, or not, but it's wonderful. The hair of the person on the left, and the chest and neck of the person on the right actually make converging lines to the focal point. Then there is the asymmetrical balance that the two subject create. The wrinkled backdrop is a nice touch, too.
