goldenwillow; a golden pelted elder, and the mother of shimmerspot and wortpaw (james). in contrast to softheart, the mother of hollysong and carpshine, she's a genuinely sweet lady (cat?) who loves her children equally. though, after wortpaw had left riverclan to go on a sort of journey to discover himself, he was presumed dead and it broke both her and shimmerspot's heart. shimmerspot never told his mother the real reason why he had left, so she spent the rest of her days wondering if he her son was happy, wherever he was.

branchstep; cynical and stubborn, she acts as the seer for the clan; in riverclan, there is a belief that starclan is made of both evil and benevolent spirits, and it is a seer's job to ensure that they are not being deceived by the spirits of starclan and to interpret their omens. she had a habit of scaring her denmates with urban legends in her youth. she hates the way that minnowstar had deteriorated over the years, choosing not to follow his orders. believes reedripple should've never been made leader, but eventually warms up to him.

lakepaw; he was considered the most handsome of riverclan apprentices by his peers both in and out of his clan, but any beauty was spoiled by a judgmental, cruel, and snappy personality. himself, reedpaw, and birdpaw, formed a sort of posse within their small clan, and sagepaw often took the brunt of their bullying - even when reedpaw became friends with sagepaw, he never tried to stop lakepaw. in an attempt to adhere to his clan's perfectionist mindset, he offered to be trained by star seeker and his allies - a windclan apprentice and a hate spirit summoned by him - which soon cost him his life. he was the son of pikejaw and primweed's first litter; toadcroak wished to become a seer apprentice so she could get a chance to meet her older brother.

wetpelt; one of the oldest active warriors in riverclan (around 18 years before dying of a stomach ulcer, and remained a senior warrior until he was 17 years), he is both respected and feared. an old curmudgeon, he has a deep seated hatred for apprentices - especially apprentices that are less than perfect. he notably did not retire until reedstar practically forced him to. he is branchstep's father, but he doesn't like to talk about that, viewing seers as weak.

minnowstar; a devout traditionalist who views starclan as the highest power among the clans. while one could argue that he was simply a very confused elder following star seeker out of desperation, it is certain that he caused much of the hardship his clan had to endure before his death at the hands of his own deputy. he never fathered any kits, seeing love and birth as a waste, much like many riverclan cats.

wiperglen; there's no doubt he loved his children, but he was as certainly emotionally distant as his mate. he was the main cat to inflate his son reedpaw's ego with promises of becoming deputy and leader, perhaps out of a desire to live vicariously through his kit. he despised sagewhisper and her mother for the pain they had caused with their bloodline.

frostberry; vain and somewhat cold, while not being entirely emotionally invested in her kits she did spoil them, both physically and mentally. she believed her kits would grow up to be the best of the best riverclan warriors. she took olivebranch's death the hardest, showing reedpaw his mother did have love in her somewhere.

copperfish; a bully with no brains, he listens to whoever's above him without question. he lost his left eye and most of the left side of his face after being attacked by dogs after the battle in riverclan. it was a shock to everyone that reedstar would pick... him... to be deputy, but its clear that reedstar just wanted to have someone by his side to stroke his ego.

birdpaw; while she was certainly a kinder cat compared to reed- and lakepaw, she was a pushover that listened to everything they said and didn't dare question them. she never mentioned her parents; some assumed she was maybe the red headed stepchild that wiperglen didn't like to talk about, but in truth they had died shortly after she was born and she was fostered by frostberry.
