The Broods
History/Behavior:

Broods are an old and grumpy race of flightless dragons or drakes. The subspecies is actually known for its aggression and is a risky creature, best to avoid. Female Broods are stocky and taller than even the biggest alpha Brood. This is because males are at the tallest, six feet tall at the shoulder. Females are a whopping eight feet or on the rare occasion, even bigger. Males are the majority of the species. Females make up only 25-30% of the total population. This same percentage represents the beta males. Betas are gentler males and are coveted by humans for their abnormally docile nature compared to an alpha or female brood. They're a feral but intelligent species capable of speech and figuring out family units. Family units are rare however and more often than not, males actually mate with other males.

Alphas and Betas:

Male broods are either alphas or betas. Betas are known to have a longer mane and are the most docile of the species. They're highly sought after by their female counterparts and even other males. Traits:
Broods are known for the numerous horns on their faces. They can be in any number and any pattern. A brood without horns is 1 out of 10000. Broods can also have tails and have figured out how to make accessories/jewelry.
