Soooo yeah, *Akiriana 's Geminus and my Evlyn from *AngelBless 's Final Fantasy: Revolution
I'm glad I persevered with this! I like how it turned out! Even though it's now 12:38am and my eyes feel like they need to drink o.0;;
It was a bit of a challenge to try and get me out of my comfort zones and try for some darker shadowing than I usually do. I'm a bit miffed that the skin tones didn't seem to blend as well as everything else did but hey ho - can't win 'em all!
Anywho, I drew this for several reasons...
1.) I felt like it.
2.) *Akiriana has had my back on several occasions and I've never really thanked her for it
3.) I wanted to practise drawing people from this angle
4.) The idea came into my head and it wouldn't go away!
5.) I randomly draw giftart for my friends when I'm feeling generous and I realised I hadn't done that for *Akiriana yet!
So yeah, Hope you like it 'Kira! And this was why I asked you which of my colouring styles you preferred earlier!

I really like the picture because you don't see their faces.That's a cool pose that says much about the characters relationship.
As for the coloraton I think you did an overall good job.I just think the sky in the background would have had a better effect if the blue/beige colors would run into each other from up to down instead of right to left.

Yeah the sky was a real pain! >.< I actually printed the lineart off twice because of it! XD; (I'm a chicken and always scan my lineart just in case! ;D) I really wanted the right side of the page to be darker - but you're right it does look a tad off! Perhaps it I'd also coloured across the top of the page it'd have looked better *ponder ponder*

Your not a chicken at all.I do it myself all the time when I color something with my copic markers.^^
If you're not sure about sky colorations just take a reference photoshot.
It will help you.

Hey, this is really cool. I love the composition and angle the pic is drawn from...I like seeing them from behind and over their shoulders, and their poses are great. I like how he's sitting there on the dock, and super-cute Miss Evelyn is leaning on his head. X3
Coloring is great, as always. I love how the tones are softer, and how they work well with the background. The background looks great, subtly showing the transitions of light at sunrise.

*totally lame commenting on this* It looks so amazing! I love how you can kinda tell what they're thinking, but you can't at the same time, if you know what I mean X3 I'm really glad you decided to use your markers for this, the colouring style really makes it look fantastic

I probably could, but I recently inked and started coloring that picture of Evlyn holding sick Anya that I drew a while ago, and as I was going I realized, "Crap. I'm going to have to make Evlyn's top WHITE. Uncool." So now it's just sitting half colored in my sketchbook because I'm too stubborn to compromise on color. XD
