First picture with new scanner!! And apologies.. it's freaking huge(if you choose to download it)!! Haven't quite gotten the hang of this imaging program yet...Anywho, I wanted to call this "The Happiness of Those who believe" .. but it wouldn't fit. D: Darn limitations!
So yeah, this is Ayumu and Hiyono from Spiral. I was way out of my comfort zone with this... Flowers.. yikes. But I actually like how they came out... so yay I guess? Who knows, maybe I'll try more flowers!
I got Spiral a couple of Christmasses ago from my good friend ~clericashleapreston and loved it but never got round to doing any fanarts for it (actually that's a lie... but I never finished any of them) so I figured seeing as I loved the series so much I should give it a go!

I love the coloring on this! I like the lighter shades of color you used here, and it all looks VERY clean and neat even given how complex your coloring is.
I love the pic as a whole, the composition of it. It's sooo professional looking! I love the background, the flowers, and how that frames everything. I love the girl....her pose and her expression is so cute and happy! And I love her hair and how lively it looks, and how it works together with her energetic face and her pose to add visual excitement and energy to the pic. And then the guy in front looks great. The focus on him is nice, and he looks awesome...very sharp and professional looking.
I'm not good at explaining things about composition, but I think the way you laid everything out here, combined with how slick and professional the coloring looks really ended up making an amazing pic. : ) I wanted to make sure I commented on this even after I faved it weeks ago because I thought it was so impressive. XD

Did they actually get together in the series? Or was it just ambiguous or sommet? lolz. The flowers look absolutely gorgeous and the characters look exactly like they should I recognised them right away without having to read. It's a really nice picture missy

You know, the scrapbook is the perfect place for unfinished works. ^^
Hiyono looks so like Hiyono. 
For some reason, I really lke her ribbons.
I like Ayumu's hair, but at the same time something doesn't look right about it. 
His jacket is kind of light. It's really well drawn, it's just light so he kind of blends in with the sky. If it was darker he might stand out a little more, and if it's his school uniform then it's darker anyway. (Sorry, that might be a little too picky of me D= )
The tags are a nice touch.

Wow, I'm glad you thought so... i really didn't think she did! I spent so long trying to imitate the Spiral style that eventually I just gave up and did my own!
I think in all honestly Ayumu's hair isn't big enough? Maybe that's the problem!

Of course she does. Even if it is your own style, you drew her really well. You know it's Hiyono when you look at her. 
Maybe it's a combination of both? All I know is if I imagine drawing a line for his head as if he were bald the back doesn't seem to go out far enough.
His hair strands do seem rather small, but I think it gives it a more detailed look.
You used markers, right? I don't know anything about how those work, but them not getting darker sounds very irritating. :shackfist:
