this was supposed to be for something else but once the ball got rolling there was No Stopping It. it was good background practice, and i actually did good at drawing a car for once c:

The lines make it look like its going fast, but the background looks still.
maybe there should be more distortion in the background to balance action.
I could be wrong but, the street lamps art distorted so why not the buildings... unless you where going for that.

I did actually consider trying to blur the background, but then I thought about it - the buildings and trees are very far off in the distance, motion blur isn't really visible from that range xD If it looks that close that probably means I shoulda made it smaller or done something else to better imply distance, so either way I kinda see what you're saying. That's something I'll think about when doing effects like this in the future 
And thanks! I too am a sucker for night skies, I love love love drawing stars and working with all those dark hues.
