Ponyville's resident zebra in human form. If I recall correctly Zecora's first appearance was in the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic episode "Bridle Gossip". I always imagined Zecora being a type of tribal lady from one of those countries in Africa. Perhaps Kenya? Initially I thought of depicting Zecora with white stripes across her skin like a real zebra but eventually decided against it. Besides, her Mohawk hairstyle and the black stripes in her clothing already highlight her zebra nature. I'd really like to know how the writers of the show were able to flawlessly come up with the rhymes whenever she spoke.
