Very nice, I very much like the "just a hint" approach you seem to take quite often. Sometimes less really is more!!

THANKS it is a work in progress! and yes sometimes it is much better to see just a touch than to have the whole...ehem...package blatently exposed, it gives the mind something to chew on.

Extraordinary image...so beautiful...absolutely stunning...but then that pretty much desribes all of your work...especailly those with this model...the two of you make magic together!

Thanks! I really like some of the stuff that comes from our work as well. I'm hoping he and his girlfriend don't move away too quickly. This summer should be a great opportunity.

dramatic portrait; love the negative space; would also work in monochrome as the color of his tats draw the eye away from the whole

I agree with the drawing of the eye by the tats - I tried the image in b&w and it just fell flat for me. But I *do* appreciate the viewpoint. I also thank you for the encouragement and support. I have a few others from this set that I'll be posting - hopefully they will be as enjoyable if not more so.

New look for Spruce here - I like the way that your lighting goes into the coat. The lighting is reminicient of the portrait of Lincoln Kirstein by Jamie Wyeth -

Keep up the great work

Thanks, Micha - Spruce is a chameleon. I wish I could explore the side of him that he would like to delve into and totally rock the place, but right now the timing isn't conducive to that sort of shooting, and timing is everything.
I like working with negative space - it gives more of a mysterious, eternal, infinite depth to a piece. Something from nothing is usually really inspirational to me.
