Description I'm definitely bias as it is my own work, but I really like the interesting focus on the flowers. How do you feel about it? Does it just look out of focus to you, or do you appreciate the creativity of the focus drawing you in?

Sorry; I've been meaning to comment on this for weeks!

I think it looks good! It definitely doesn't come across as out-of-focus, to me. I think I would've also liked to see what a vertical framing could do for the image, as I feel like it might've aided the focus in drawing the eye into it some. All in all though, I like the contrast as well as the framing you chose to use here. The focus on the flowers is good, because it really makes them the standout subject of a photo that might've otherwise been sort of busy-feeling. Nicely done!

Aw thanks! I'll have to play around with that vertical framing idea now and see how it looks! The shallow focus seems to draw me in. I love those crisp photos of large amounts of flowers, but whenever I try to photograph that it never looks quite as good to meΒ Β

Those kinds of photos are really beautiful, I agree! And I can sympathize with you on that count; those sorts of photos never seem to turn out quite right for me either. I figure there's got to be something specific going on with the focus, but I just haven't been able to work out what it is or how it's done.

Good! I almost ended up moving to California with some friends actually!Β (I might still be visiting there for their road trip since they're still moving out there!) Β But I ended up deciding to go to college instead so a different big life change! What about you? What have you been up to?
