Saanen huomauttaa, että joulu ei alunperin ollut uskonnollinen juhla, vaan alkujaan on ollut keskitalven juhla. Myöskään Jeesus ei ole syntynyt jouluna. Kristinusko on myöhemmin liittänyt Jeesuksen syntymäpäiväjuhlan jouluun.

Sen tiesin, ettei Jeesus syntynytkään jouluna, mutta joulun alkuperäinen tarkoitus ennen kristinuskoa oli uutta. Tarkistin asian (aina niin luotettavasta) wikipediasta.
