Description I was completely blown away by Alan Wake. It was definitely one of the greatest gaming experiences I've ever had. So of course after I finished it, I knew I just had to cosplay him. MangaNEXT is coming up here in Jersey, so I wanted to take some time and experiment. I like this prototype, but of course, I need to tighten some things up.

Flashlight Beam = AWESOMENESS.

This image is epic. Great job on the cosplay and the scenery. Looks really creepy... (Looks a bit like Bird Leg Cabin, or at least the cabins in Episode 2...)

You know what's my favorite thing about this photo? The floodlight. I didn't realize it was there until after I took it and I was really happy to see it there XD

And that's what reminded me of the Cabins in ALAN WAKE. That's what made the image even moar epic! I gotta hand it to ya: you did awesome.

Thanks so much! I hope to attempt Max Payne (or should I say Alex Casey? ) cosplay someday. Hopefully I do good with that too

Haha! Alan Wake and Alex Casey together at a Con... That would actually be very funny. "Alan meets his creation!! " ... or something like that.
Still, that'll be a pretty interesting attempt. Some even say that Alex Casey IS Max Payne, strictly because of what the second page of The Sudden Stop said.

Just gotta go to Goodwill, find the right leather jacket, get a pair of Berettas and grab a prescription bottle and I'll have everything I need.

Yeah, I would play Alan Wake alone at night (shot my nerves all to hell doing it, but hey, I like my experience XD) and I remember finding those two pages and reading them and hearing James McCaffrey's voice and the narration sounding JUST like Max Payne and I had a little fanboy moment: "OH MY GOD, MAX PAYNE WAS CREATED BY ALAN WAKE." Oh, it was great. Sam Lake is my homeboy forever.

They even brought back my favorite thing from Max Payne - the creepy-ass TV shows that actually serve as some kind of strange foreshadowing 8D

Hahaha! Yes; Goodwill is a great place to start. Tweed jackets are very hard to come by... but they look so freaking awesome!

Me too! I love playing games in the dark, although my mother thinks it's bad on my eyes (I wear glasses because of that, but I can't help it). I like getting that freaky feeling. I won't watch scary movies, but I'll play scary games. Capcom has always provided me with that level of horror.
Hahaha! I felt the same way! After reading The Sudden Stop pages, I was all like, "Max Payne?? Yayz! " It was fun...
Sam Lake is truely epic. You even get to see him on video in Chapter 6. I couldn't help but squeal...

The TV shows? You mean Night Springs? There was one in Chapter 3 that freaked me out... It was in the building before the Bulldozer fight.

Yes, I need a tweed jacket to cosplay as the 11th Doctor from Doctor Who as well. I thought it was funny two of my current fictional heroes wear tweed jackets with elbow patches. XD

Glasses are sexy, don't worry about it

Yes, he is. It's just a shame Max Payne 3 is being made without him. It's going to SUUUUUUUUUCK. I love Rockstar for GTA and Red Dead Redemption, but this I can't get behind. >.<

I loved Night Springs. I liked the Twilight Zone vibe behind it and they added to the creepy atmosphere very well

Hahaha! That is pretty funny, thinking about that now.

Really? I'm not so sure.

True, but they sold the rights of MAX PAYNE to Rockstar, no? Those games really helped Remedy's success in the video game industry. If it weren't for the MP series, they also wouldn't have ALAN WAKE. Well, at least they placed some MP trademarks in the AW game.

Yeah, me too. At first I thought it was The Twiligh Zone, until they said Night Springs, but either way, it was still cool and creepy to watch.

(Wow. I've noticed how long our conversation has been already... )

I'll grant you that Rockstar helped Remedy get Max Payne out there and made it more successful by porting the first two games to the PS2 and Xbox. It's just a shame to me that Sam Lake is essentally forced to wash his hands clean of his own creation because he is personally finished with it and allowing others to take it in another direction. I loved the first two games because the blend of crime noir and John Woo-style gunplay was a unique one. Max Payne 3 so far seems generic actioner-ish to me.

I'm having a fantastic time talking to you, so I certainly do not mind the length of our conversation. If I'm holding you up or anything, please, don't allow me to keep you; I'll understand.

True... I'm gonna miss it too. But it's still great that he's around to do Alan Wake. That's what truely makes me happy the most: the fact that he's still at Remedy.

No no! It's cool. Imma just realizing it, that's all. I don't mind talking a little bit longer.

I'm actually going to go to bed, but I'm very thrilled to have met you and to have talked with you and I hope we can continue to do so in the future

That's probably a good idea. My eyes are starting to burn a little...
Yeah. Same here! Good night.

I like the fact that you can see the beam from the flashlight in this picture. It makes it much more dynamic. Also, your house looks creepy as hell in this.

That's the part of the house where I live too. That room is the back room of the basement, my living quarters being the basement proper ^^

I'm really proud of the flashlight beam too
