Personality:
Chrome has a tendency to be sharp tongued and abrasive (with a budding superiority complex). He doesn't care for beating-around-the-bush and will be as straightforward as possible, unless it's to enjoy playing games and teasing someone.

He has a fiery temper, and has little patience for anyone. He has a difficult time being kind, but will stubbornly not give up on being able to teach anyone. His pride doesn't really allow for him to fail, even at teaching. That is probably where brutal teaching methods would come in, with harsh discipline and training on his part with a hint of stalking to make sure everyone follows his instructions and does his homework.
History
Chrome was the black sheep unicorn of his family, a weird mutation in color. He was the only one to not have been born with the normal pure white or silvery color characteristic of most unicorns. As such, he was alienated and tormented with his families perception of him. They thought he would turn out to be a rogue unicorn, evil, and his parents were constantly comparing him to his siblings and other relatives.

Because of his young age, he was deeply hurt and felt neglected, but strove to please his parents by trying to excel at everything he did, especially with manners. It wasn't good enough for them however, and his relatives always looked down on him, ignoring his efforts. As he grow older and went into his late teens, he became exceedingly bitter and sarcastic, always ready to fight with anyone else and prove himself better than them by beating them into the ground if they made any condescending remarks to him. He even kept up with his studies, wanting to be superior to everyone in every way possible. During this rebellious phase, he started dying his hair, went and got a couple of piercings, and dressed in semi-gothic attire, accepting that he would be ostracized no matter what he did and so would just have fun doing what he wanted when he wanted.

During his late teenage years, upon completing school, he left his home and went off to a university to study. Unfortunately, the female population having heard of him wanted to create a reputation for themselves as having tamed a unicorn and constantly bothered him, pretending to be virgins and seduce him, some of them powered by greed and worked with poachers to try and capture him at various intervals. His hatred of the female population developed at this point and he made no friends because of them; females annoying him and males jealous of him. His superiority complex didn't help much either.

However, his studious nature and drive led him to have exceptionally good grades and he attended many social events with prominent people. He turned on his charming manners at these events and met many notable people, one of them being the Master of Eden. After several encounters, and having almost graduated university, he was offered a temporary teaching position for manners at Eden. He took it as a good chance to finish his work in relative peace and embarked on the journey to the island soon after.
