I was at work one day and I was telling a co-worker that my mom and dad have dachshunds and she recited this poem she knew, and I thought it was sooo neat. The next time I saw her I asked her to write it down for me and she did, she said she might have missed a line and she didn't know the writer so I looked it up on the internet and there it was. I made this pic for my mom originally but then I thought to myself my Oma and my sister both have Dachshunds too so I made it for them too. When I gave them to my family they were framed in black frames and were finished for mothers day, (I m late submitting it here)Dachshund picture (c) Me, Ko-hi-ga-ru aka Cassandra

Yeah, it always is a little scary when you have pets. I love my pets soooooo much and I don't know what I'll do when the time comes.

I disagree. My daxie pup sullenly refused to 'go' outside until very very recently. {He is around fourteen months old}

Ha! I just took my dachshund for a walk, and she would walk so slowly, I had to pick her up every time a car came.
It took a while, but it was fun.

Me and Stella loves it.. She decide in this house...
She is the gift... the joy and the best friend.. She sleeps next to me in the bed because... Thats the way it is..
When she was a puppy.. She was abused and when we got her as a christmas gift... I just saw this: 2 big wet eyes, a little body that didn't fit the 4 big paws... a big wet nose... and 4 tiny legs.. oh god.. this sight.. when I hold her in my arms.. I seriously had tears... Will never let her down... She is my angel...

My mom and dad have Dachshunds and they didn't find it to tough to housebreak them - maybe it just depends on technique and such.
