And here they are - the result of one year of making bead dolls, week for week - I never expected I'd end up with such a large collection when I started last April!

My heartfelt thanks to all of you who joined me on this extensive beading trip and commented/favourited/reblogged over the past year!

As for my future beading plans - there will definitely be more dolls, but it's time to take a deep breath and ease off the gas a bit. Pretty much my entire crafting time this last year was spent on bead dolls, and I'd like to both do some other stuff again on the one hand and on the other hand maybe try my hand at more complicated characters that simply take more time to design and bead. So there'll be no more regular Monday posts, instead I'll simply post new dolls whenever I finish them.

Now that I've finished the character list I made for the final few weeks of year one, I'll start on a tentative list of characters to bead next, so if you've got any suggestions, send them my way.

Demographics overview of the dolls made so far:

Nineteen humans, thirteen Hylians, four Hobbits, three Elves, two Maiar, two Trills, two Vulcans (or rather, the same Trill and the same Vulcan twice), one droid, one Kokiri, one Rito, one Togruta, one Twili, one Zabrak and one whatever the hell Yoda is.

(By the way, if anyone should actually take the trouble to count the dolls in the picture - yes, there's only fifty-one of them instead of fifty-two, because I'm afraid I forgot to add Artoo I didn't have him on my shelf with the other dolls when I put them up for the picture, and only noticed after I'd taken them down again and prepared the pictures for posting. I really didn't feel like spending even more time trying to cram everyone so close together and at the same time avoid playing bead doll dominoes (some of the older, base-less dolls are extremely unsteady on their feet and tend to topple over at the drop of a hat), so let's pretend he's hiding behind some of the taller dolls
