Description It was all over the news in Paldea: a mysterious Pokemon had escaped from Area Zero and was roaming free throughout the region. Everyone was advised to stay away from it until it was contained.

I, however, wanted to see this mysterious beast for myself. An undiscovered Pokemon that may have been from the ancient past? There was no way I could pass up on an opportunity like this.

I was near the swamps of South Province when I found it. At first glance, the beast looked very much like a Suicune, except it was standing on its hind legs with short arms much like a raptor. Its giant purple mane covered most of its body. It looks so majestic.

I slowly approached the beast with caution. Then it turned its head and saw me. With a loud roar the sun shone brighter in the sky. I fell onto my back in surprise. I backed away as the beast came closer and closer, opening its jaws and preparing to unleash an attack.

Suddenly, unprompted, my Haxorus came out of its Pokeball and shielded me from the blast of steaming water. Haxorus snarled at the beast; clearly a sign of protection, warning it to stay away from me. Haxorus's claws ignited in draconic rage and then slashed at the beast, causing it to stumble.

The beast roared again, but Haxorus refused to stand down. I felt as if I was witnessing a battle between two prehistoric monsters. Perhaps the beast was also part dragon, or perhaps my Haxorus had some prehistoric genes flowing through him that were showing through in this moment.

Whatever it was, I knew I had to take advantage of the situation. I got back up on my feet. The beast was preparing another water blast.

"Haxorus, watch out!" I called. Haxorus avoided the blast right on my command. "Use another Dragon Claw!"

Haxorus slashed at the beast again. It stumbled and fell to the ground. Without a moment of hesitation I threw a Dive Ball at it. The beast was sucked into the ball. The ball fell to the ground. One shake... two shakes... three shakes... *click*. I caught it. The mysterious beast was mine.

The beast had become easier to tame after I caught it. Everyone in Paldea gawks when they see me walking with it, with its mane and twin-tails flowing majestically in the wind, like the wake of a wave. Because of this, it has been dubbed "Walking Wake".

Had this idea for a long time now, ever since the Pokemon Presents presentation. Wanted to draw Walking Wake, but also wanted to make a story for my trainer-sona encountering it.
