No, I don't think Zutara has a chance at becoming canon. I think it is a lovely fan ship and has interesting chemistry, sort of like Ginny/Draco in Harry Potter.
Zutara is Maiko's rival ship, though, because it has such a strong hold with the fans. But alot of people are beginning to support Maiko after The Boiling Rock pts. 1 and 2, since Mai does something other than stand around being gloomy.
