Description And here's Oscar's laboratory in blazin' technicolor!

As you can see, Oscar's pretty eccentric when it comes to his color schemes in his armor too. I'm really happy with the way this looks in color. I never realized how prominent the Psycho Squad guys would be against their cluttered urban backgrounds. It somehow makes them seem even MORE "in your face" and crazy looking!

Plus, it was really fun coloring in all those little details...including the Interocator from the old movie This Island Earth behind Oscar.

What'd you use to color this? Looks like colored pencil.

Correct. Prismacolor and Crayola brand. It's what I color all of my art with...guess I'm just old school.

Hey, I'm a Crayola man myself. I've been a loyal user of their pencils since I was a kid. I have tried other brands, but in the end, Crayolas always got the best results.

If I may ask, what did you use to ink the pictures, trace over your original pencils?

Sure! I use Ultra-fine tip Sharpie markers for inked right over pencils. Wider tip Sharpies for black areas. Sometimes Micron pens for real fine details like this one [link] I use the Prismacolor pencils first because they tend to give a deeper color but the softness tends to leave white textures. Going over it again with a Crayola of the same (or similar) color will blend it quite nicely and even darken or lighten the color depending.

I have used Sharpie Ultra-Fines. I find them to be a good pen.

I've never heard of Micron pens.

I may have to try that sometime.

I think the brand name is Sakura and it's a Pigma Micron pen. I usually use 02 or 03 for the little details. Available through Blick Art Materials (shameless plug for my place of employment!)

Ha ha!

I've never heard of Sakura or the Pigma Micron pen, I'm afraid. Is there a place I can get them online?

Noticing things I didn't before in the B&W version as well. I'd completely missed the arcade machine in the back.
