"Who'd you cast in a live action Big O*?".This retro/fake movie poster is the result of a convo with a talented 3D artist friend of mine (that's his model in the background.) The search continues for a good Roger Smith. Affleck was his suggestion, not mine.
Also, ever google images of Ben Affleck? The endless headshots w/ "sexy/constipation face"? High-larious.
Annnd Jaime King is The Blond in "Sin City" who is not Jessica Alba. Also, she was in "Bulletproof Monk". Like anyone but me saw that. We considered Christina Ricci, but she's too bug eyed. And I'm tired of seeing Natalie Portman.
(Again, not sure what category this belongs in... Fan art? People? Digital painting? Photomanipulation? It's all of the above)

Friggin' sweet poster! In my opinion, Affleck looks like a good Roger Smith, and Jaime King has the same strong, focused gaze as Dorothy. Also, your execution of the entire scene, especially the palette, gives it a Casablanca vibe.

Interesting choices. They shouldn't make many live action versions of anime series, though. Sometimes it just doesn't translate well.

Oh snap, this is hot! The whole Old Hollywood feel the poster has to it is wonderful! And while I would have never thought of casting Ben Affleck as the infamous Roger, it is oddly very fitting.<3

Good choice on Jaime Adams. I wouldn't have thought of that. Honestly, I might have suggested Keanu Reeves if he wasn't already cast to play Spike Speigel from Cowboy Bebop.

Affleck maybe, however I see Ellen Page as R.Dorothy. She looks young enough to pull the role off and also has the chops to play her right. Great poster, by the way.

Ok, how about this... a clean shaved George Clooney, huh, right? I mean, the personality would fit right? Ben Affleck is another good choice, buuuuut, I don't know; Roger Smith only that clean a slick because it's anime, I think Clooney would represent his age and personality more (especially in retrospect to Oceans 11).

Really nice drawing but i cant think of anyone worse to cast as Roger Smith than Ben Affleck!! The role needs someone with class, style, attitude and most of acting talent - Affleck has none of these

Big O's atmosphere and settings made me think of film noir and sci-fi movies of the decades I mentioned, so I'm thinking of 1940s and 1950s actors and actresses who would fit well for the roles (though I don't really know the names of the actors and actresses I have in mind)

Oh I feel you. There's very few actors today who can capture the mix of masculinity, class and humor of those of yesteryear. I think Clooney has some of that, but he's too old, and didn't look like Roger Smith when he was young.
Don't get me started on today's starlets. Who could play...Angel? Is that the character's name from Big O? Who's sexy, mysterious and cool like that? Lohan? Hahahah... no. Who's today's gallery&

i would've voted christian bale for roger, but he's batman now. and i could see a (much) younger pierce brosnan as him also. claire danes could be dorothy - but im not much of a fan.
