I keep seeing "Error message" memes where people talk about killing Kagome/Kikyou and it's starting to piss me off. I give up on you people. If you are able to hate either Kikyou or Kagome, then you never truly understood the series and need to rewatch it or drop the fandom; in my opinion.Made with:

But that's the point of a fandom: To hate one character and like another. I however just tolerate the fans. I mean I do like Kikyou alot and HATE Kagome's guts but I dont force my opinion down others' throats.

No, it's really not, actually. RT loves both Kagome and Kikyou, so why shouldn't we? I love them both equally. I'd be happy no matter which one she chose to pair with Inuyasha, but in the end I like how it closed. I don't think it's fair to bash either of them. You can dislike one, but bashing and saying they need to die is retarded in any aspect.

I suppose you CAN but some people (myself included) get very 'lively' in our hate for a character. Again I respect anyone who likes Kagome but I have my reasons for hating her and wishing InuYasha was paired up with Kikyou. Again that's just me.

I do understand the series and the pain kikyou went trough but I still don't like her and everyone thinks differently. And isn't it better to say mean things about a character that doesn't really exist then being rude and arrogant toward people that do? ^-^

See, I don't care if you don't like one character or the other, but bashing them is just ridiculous. Not to mention there is a vast difference between not liking a character and hating them. Also; see, here's the thing: If they were not rude and respected the characters in the first place, we would not have an issue. Hating a character, and bashing them is extremely disrespectful to Rumiko Takahashi, and ruins the series a bit, in my opinion.

It's not just you, and I'm not making a big fuzz about anything. I was looking for Kikyou fan art for my blog and I found... fifteen of them, I think? And then I found about the same for Kagome.

I just used yours as an example because it was on the page I had open. If you make something bashing a character then don't expect a few people not to be happy with you. It's disrespectful to Rumiko Takahashi, herself. I didn't make this meme because I like or hate a certain character; I made it because I'm tired of all the character bashing going around. I think all the characters are important to the series (minus the non-canon ones Sunrise added in) and should all be loved. If you bash any character from a series, then you obviously are not smart enough to comprehend it, and by you arguing with me you're doing nothing better than what you're accusing me of. Hence, "making a big fuzz."

As I allready said I do understand the series and that Kikyou is a neccecary part of it ( a very big part) There really wouldn't be much of a series without her. And I don't really hate her anymore but I did now I just feel kind of sad for her. You can't really judge people for something some months ago and I'm not making a big fuzz I'm just telling you that I don't like having a link to my devitation here ^-^ And I also don't like that you seem to make it so that I don't understand the series because I do and that I am disrespectful to Rumiko takahashi. Yes, I get pissed off too. I used to not like Kikyou until I grew up and realized the pain she had been in in the series. But I've always love Kagome, simply because she was a selfless character and that she was just an teenager then.
And people who bash the characters-haven't they realized that they are fictional? The characters wouldn't feel any bashing at all so it's pointless really.

No, I love when people send me comments! I agree completely. I didn't really like Kikyou when I first started watching the series (Mind you, I was.. eleven?), but I always loved Kagome and while re-watching the series I came to adore Kikyou as well, and to truly appreciate Sango. She's actually my favorite character besides Kikyou. ^^
Bashing really is ridiculous. I mean, yes there is things I can't stand but I don't waste time drawing pictures of those things dying and whatnot.

I only wish there would be some more character development to be honest-especially InuYasha, Miroku, and Shippo.

Oh my gawd, I totally agree with you there! I mean, he softened up a bit for Kagome but there was not much else there that changed with him. I really wish there had been more involving Sango without her whining about her brother all the time, you know? I mean, she's a great character, but meh.
You know what I also didn't like? I didn't like that Sango and Miroku were paired together. I like them both as individual characters, but together... I mean, there was obviously a romantic connection but that was there on purpose. I felt like having her constantly swooning over him just took away from her character, you know? I like them as friends with bits of fluff, but I definitely think they were better not being a couple.

Indeed! The characters who were developed the most had to be either Kagome (not surprisingly) or Sesshoumaru (you know-he loved Rin enough to save her from Hell and all of that jazz-though I abhorred SessRin pairing-too weird for me. I preferred father and daughter relationship-but that's just me.). Hell, even Naraku and Kagura (Not my favorite character but I'd admit that I do feel sorry for her) took that third place somehow.
Sango was basically still a flat character too-everyone in the InuGang, except Kagome, was flat for goodness' sake! 
That bugged me-Rumiko was a very good storyteller but, no offense, she's horrible with giving her characters some development.
Indeed-too disrespectful to the creator. If you love her work then you have to respect her creations! Simple as that!

I agree that a lot of the characters were indeed very flat, though Sango and Miroku had good personalities to start with, at least. Though, I think in the manga series there was a bit of character development as far as Kikyou was concerned.
When it come to pairings I'm a little funny. I definitely do not like SessRin as a couple. I see them as strictly father/daughter. You know what pairing really creeps me out? Shippou/Kagome. I've been seeing a lot of shippers for that one. I can't stand Sesshoumaru/Kagome. I like Sesshoumaru/Kikyou for the fan art, but I was never particularly fond of that pairing either-- but I still find it makes more sense than with Kagome.
I was rather fond of the bit of fluff between Kagura and Sesshoumaru, but I love most of the characters from the series. To be honest, when it comes to non-canon pairings, I like odd pairings-- despite that they would never happen, I ship them. Like Naraku/Sango (as a love/hate pairing) and Suikotsu/Kikyou. Though, my taste is a bit odd in general, I suppose.
Yeah, I think it's foolish to say you like a series then bash a character. The only character I really hate from Inuyasha is non-canon and added in by Sunrise when they produced the anime. Friggin' Ayame, man. All she did was come in, cry, whine, yell a lot, cry some more, then leave. Like, really. What was the point of adding her in?

Hahah-I'm a major Kagome shipper, including Sesshoumaru and several other males (please don't hate me.)-though I'm a bit funny with Shippou (mainly because I always saw Kagome and Shippou as either mom/son or siblings type of relationship) and I certainly don't like to ship InuYasha/Kagome. I always saw them like siblings, tbh, even if they are canon.
I certainly don't hate it though-just not in my tastes.
But I do respect yours! 
An after thought here: I really do like Kikyou/Suikotsu though~♥
Yeah, it is, does it? Oh, Ayame...Eh...she's useless...I'll say that much but I don't hate her-since it's hard for me to hate something that only existed in how many eps.? 3? She was just basically a stranger to me, really. But yeah, it was an empty after thought of InuYasha anime producers, in a failed attempt to make the series longer.

I'm a bit funny when it comes to Kagome. I don't mind InuKag, simply because it's canon, but I do agree that they seem more like siblings. I feel like Shippou was her kid brother in the Feudal Era, like Souta is in the modern era, so it's just weird to me.
As far as SessKag-- I just don't get it. I mean, they say all of three words to each other in the entire series, so like... why? I mean, I find SessKik to be cute, but it's not as if I'm like, rooting for them or anything. I just find a lot of beautiful fan art for them, together. Plus, there is something to be said about a woman losing her lover and turning to his brother. It seems a bit realistic, and I can't help but think it would be an interesting duo.
Kikyou and Suikotsu are probably one of my favourite pairings from the show, and they could have been almost canon, too. In my opinion, they didn't need to kill Suikotsu. Yes, he had problems, but had the Shichinintai not come after him, he'd have been fine. Plus, with Kikyou's powers she definitely could have kept his shard pure. They could have had a life together raising those children, helping each other and learning to deal with and forgive their past mistakes. I find them to be an adorable hurt/comfort pairing.
A lot of people ship Naraku/Kikyou, but to be honest... I really just don't see it. I mean, she never once addressed feelings for him. Plus, Naraku doesn't love Kikyou-- Onigumo did. And in the episode with Musou, it was made quite clear that they were very different people-- in fact, Musou despised Naraku for causing Kikyou's death. I mean, when it comes to love/hate pairings, it's hard to eplain. I tend to love them, but NarKik just.... It makes no more sense to me than SessKag.
See, alright. Here's the thing. I don't like... hate Ayame. I just hate how useless she was. She was pointless filler. And she wasn't just there for one episode. She just took up like... four or five episodes (because they even bring her back in season five) and all she does it cry, and whine, and yell a whole lot. It wasn't very original and she was too juvenile for me to find redeeming qualities in. I think Sunrise should have kept to the series a bit better.
