Can't you picture these two beign like the biggest nerds at thier high school? I love those stories so much! Although I don't think Josh and Blaineley went to the same high school.
Buut if they did:

Mildred looked around the gymnasium, there weren't any more boys to dance with. None to talk to. To hold you. To like you back. Nobody.....
This was going just like how the other girls said it would.
Joshua checked the dance floor, no more girls. Well there were some, but they werethe rough ones who always got into fights with each other, he never thought catfights, plus he was scared about getting caught up in it. Imagine a 17 year old boy, still afraid of girls. He should've stayed home like the jocks said.
Then Mildred thought of something, maybe if she went to dance herself, maybe a boy or two would want to dance with her. It made sense in her mind, she chose to give it a shot.
She made to the middle of the gym and tried her best to dance but there were so many people they kept bumping into her. Usually on purpose. Soon enough she just stopped and let them hit her. Mildred didn't want to stop, she worked hard on her flowery dress, she grew the overwater, wilting flower in her head, she bothered to come to prom after all the torture she had to take! But no one would give her respect. She ought to go home.
Joshua ran up to the poor girl and lifted her head so the girl would look at him in the eyes. His hands oved to hereyes and brushed away her tears. The girl blushed at his touch, but didn't pull away. Josh couldn't let this girl go yet, he realized she was alone too. So he grabbed her hand and led her to the wall.
Josh and Mildred smiled at each other. He held out his hand for her and she stared at him with a hopeful expression. Revealing her shining braces.
The two nerds stayed close to each other, smiling, not saying a word. All in time for the final dance.

To this day Josh and Blaineley that was the other person they dancedwith at their prom. Mostly beacuse neither ever said anything not even their names. However, they do know if they find that person from that lovely night again, no matter who they are or that person became, Josh and Blaineleywill pick them out of everyone in the world.
