I must learn your ways! what do u use to cut the cake into those rings? Is there a cake cutter just for that or do you use something that would be lying around? I imagine a bowl. or something.

You COULD do it by cutting, but it's messier, more fragile...etc etc.

It's just a checkerboard cake with a set idea in mind

I want to make a checkerboard cake but I've only ever made a marble cake and even that failed

If you did a mini version, it would work with two layers and cutting the cake! I just used the insert myself. I'm not THAT good

You couldn't achieve a three layer look with cupcake versions without a LOT of work! I'm sure it's doable to some degree, but it'd be a bit crazy
