As I was quickly signing into DA I noticed the thumbnail of this, but before I could click it I was signed on and it didn't appear on my front page. Needless to say, I quickly logged off and found this again, and it was well worth it.
This picture has a sort of ominous feel, but not in a 'horror' kind of way. I love the contrast between the majority of the piece (the dark looming thing!) and that little glimmer of light that's left... almost makes it all look hopeful.
But overall, I find it amazing that so much can be expressed with such simplicity!

Love the huge monster and his purple swirlies! I also like how the monster's head points right back down to the kid again, moves the eye around in a nice, smooth, circular motion.
