Mwaaaahaaahaaaahaaaa...

Akito in all her splendour, surrounded by the animals of the Juunishi, plus the Cat.

<3 Gotta luff it.

In case you're unfamiliar with Fruits Basket and the legend of the Zodiac, the Cat is the reject of the family. He's cursed beyond the normal curse of the Sohmas, and is not counted among the Juunishi. That's the reason he's a different color. *nod nod*

Also, you might have noticed that the animals shown are not in the same forms as they are in the current Sohma family, nor are they necessarily the forms they were originally. This is for several reasons. Partially, I didn't want to draw some of the forms. Hatori's seahorse form would've been difficult to fit in the picture, for example. On the other hand, I didn't want to draw a full-blown rooster or a bull... (As opposed to the sparrow and cow I have here.) So, some of these forms are their current forms, and some are closer to the original... I realize this is inconsistent, and honestly it bugs me, too, but what the hay. At least the picture's presentable, okay? My previous attempts at drawing the Juunishi were rather...unworthy. >>

I love Akii's outfit. <3 She's so pretty...

Yes, the flower in her hand is the one Shigure gave her when she was little. Notice also that Yuki, Shigure, and Kureno's animal forms (the rat, dog, and bird, respectively), are closest to her. Except for these three, none of the animals' positions in relation to Akito are important; but I wanted the rat, rooster, and dog to be closest to her because of their special relationships with her. [Kureno was freed from the curse when he was young, but remained by her side out of something like pity. Shigure is in love with Akito. Yuki is the "special child" of the Sohma family, and his animal form is supposed to be the closest to "god." Also, Yuki spent his childhood as Akito's playmate.]

Oh, I managed to draw Kisa/Hiro and Haru/Rin near each other, though. ^^ And Ayame and Shigure got to be near each other, although unfortunately the third member of their trio was too big to put in there... (Hatori, the dragon.)

I should apologize now for some of the animals being difficult to recognize. -_- I wasn't going for exactness when it came to their anatomy... I'm sure the horse, cow, tiger and monkey are particularly off... The dog, too. (He's my favorite of all the animals in this picture, though. He looks so loyal, laying there at Akii's feet... <3 I luff Shigure so much. ^_^ lol)

Aaaaand, I guess that's it. Oh, the words in the background are the legend of the Zodiac as told by me. I couldn't remember them exactly how they were in the manga, so I just interpreted it my own way. Don't bother pointing out any errors I made... There's no way I'm going back and changing it now. xD
