WARNING: The following is stupid and just me being loony late at night. Don't read if you don't want to be subjected to nonsensical, gay, costumed, possibly subconscious, alien-human flirting.

Dib could tell when the computer simulation started going off the rails because it was right around the time when his entire wardrobe shifted into this flouncy dress thing with an apron and Dib is seriously going to have to talk to the lab techs about coding while watching old Disney movies because this is just not right. He's thinking about a way to catch the attention of whoever's monitoring his vitals but, before he can do anything remotely productive, a voice cackles from seemingly empty air.

"Looks like the little dirt monkey's lost."

Dib can practically feel himself go pale because he is not supposed to be able to get in here. The human subconscious has a weird way of messing with the simulations, but Dib had gone over every line of the scripts for weeks, making sure any visitors of an extraterrestrial origin got eliminated by the machine before they could manifest.

But there Zim is, slinking towards him with crazed eyes and twitching cat ears. A tail-like cable swipes back and forth from the Zim's pack and Dib thinks about running for all of two seconds before he remembers there really isn't anywhere to run if you're in your own mind.

"Zim, get the hell out of here!" And Dib tries to make it sound commanding, but it comes out as a pathetic squeak when Zim grabs him by the back of the neck to yank him forward.

"Stupid Earthling. You don't really want that," the alien says, barely an inch from Dib's face. "I wouldn't be here if you did."

Zim's face stretches in an insane smile, teeth sharp and brilliant white in the swirl of Technicolor surrounding them. Dib swallows, partially from the way Zim's looking at him like a tasty mouse but mostly from the prickle of gloved claws sliding up his thigh.

"This is crazy," Dib rasps and he's thinking about stepping back, but his legs aren't moving anywhere.

Zim laughs, loud and disturbingly accurate. "Isn't that the point?"

"We're all mad here."
