This was well worth the wait.

So, here she is at last! The Pearl Clan's leader turned into a beautiful mermaid! Something I wanted to do to make this one unique from the other five Pearl Clan images was to make the environment a bit different. I may follow this ideology with the Diamond Clan too, have those members and Adaman be in different environments. Anyways, let me get to Irida herself! I had trouble with the pose and overall design, but I eventually settled on a singing pose and made the background different to compensate. I also decided to think about what design aspects I should include on Irida. I ultimately decided on her headpiece, bracelets, and choker thing. Irida is currently the character who is the closest to her original design in terms of clothing I think (Though I could easily see someone like Phoebe taking that title). All of her accessories could be made out of carved rocks and coral perhaps, if this was a naturally-born mermaid. I even included a tail anklet for Irida! I'm guessing merfolk have flexible fins and that's how they can wear stuff like that without might issue. Anyways, aside from the design, I should mention that I made Irida sing since you kinda can't play flutes underwater (I searched that up to verify. It would just be a bunch of bubbles.) Overall, Irida transitioned into a mermaid pretty well, and I must say this might be one of the best images for Mermon yet! I hope you enjoy this!
