Hey there again! This was originally an image I made a long time ago (Around early February) that I scrapped, but I decided to work on it again and I've finally completed it! I decided to make a drawing of an AU I've had in my mind before. This AU is basically about Hotaru Tomoe from Sailor Moon going to the Pokemon Universe, becoming the player character Selene. I even have an entire story below (Warning: It's a long read.) I hope you enjoy this image!

"There was once a girl who was the reincarnation of the Princess of Saturn, that being Hotaru. While she didn't talk about to to anyone but her close friends, she had a secret form that has the potential to destroy entire worlds. One day while at high school, she brought her transformation pen with her in order to write. When one of her peers asked about her mysterious pen, Hotaru accidentally let out that it could transform herself into Sailor Saturn. The students around her pushed Hotaru into transforming into Sailor Saturn, just so she can satisfy their curiosity. She thought she would have been bullied for this, but instead her peers thought she looked beautiful."

"This transformation gave Hotaru a lot of friends, something that she's been lacking for a while. And so, every once in a while when Hotaru went to school, she'd turn into Sailor Saturn to show off to everyone. This became more and more often until Hotaru did it every day during lunch break. People thought she was amazing. Hotaru would even show off a variety of tricks to her new friends to impress them, though she knew to be careful with her powers. After all, one swing of her Silence Glaive and the Earth would have ceased to exist. It was a great time for Hotaru, until one day she would never forget. One of the girls in Hotaru's class took notice of her outfit and became jealous. So, without much forethought, she shoved Hotaru while she was distracted by talking to her friends. This almost caused Hotaru to trip, and caused her to drop her Silence Glaive. The sharp part of the Glaive stabbed right through the Earth's Soil just like that."

"Hotaru, realizing what that girl has done, immediately teleported to the Moon to not get killed by the coming doom. Now at the Moon, the poor Sailor Guardian witnesses her own homeworld get blown up by her weapon. Hotaru was devastated. Horrified. What did that girl do?! Hotaru could barely comprehend what she was looking at, thinking of the billions upon billions of humans she just unintentionally murdered. Hotaru thought that it was her fault for the world's destruction. If she never shown her secret identity to the school, that girl wouldn't have gotten jealous of her, and she wouldn't have been able to make Earth explode."

"But, something surprised Hotaru while she was in shock. She wasn't alone on the Moon. Hotaru's friends, Rei, Ami, Setsuna, and Minako were there with her, just as surprised as her. How did they survive?! Rei explained that she was feeling a really bad omen, and warned the other Guardians to head to the Moon. But, only a few listened as Usagi, Haruka, Michiru, and Makoto were both distracted with their love lives. After her explanation, Rei asked Hotaru what happened. With tremendous fear of what they would do with her, Hotaru snatched one of the Keys to the Space-Time Door that Setsuna had and teleported to it. Not sure what she would do, she tried to access the Crystal Palace. Maybe Queen Serenity would know what to do."

"Though Hotaru's attempts to enter the door failed, as once she opened it, she couldn't go through. All Hotaru could do was witness her only friend, Chibiusa looking at her. But, Chibiusa began to fade away, alongside the rest of the world she was in. Chibiusa panicked while fading away as Hotaru did nothing but watch as her best friend was erased thanks to her mistake. Eventually, Chibiusa, the Crystal Palace, and the Space-Time Door itself faded away from existence. Hotaru stared for some moments, before dropping to her knees and sobbing a storm. She regretted everything that happened recently.

"After crying for some minutes, Hotaru ultimately decided that she needed to run away from this place, thinking that Setsuna would come and kill her for what she has done. And so, Hotaru began to wander through the vast emptiness of time. Was it been days? Weeks, months, years? Hotaru didn't even know anymore as she was completely transcendent to the concept of time itself with where she was. After a long, LONG walk, Hotaru discovered a portal. A portal that summoned a strange creature. It was one that resembled a giant, floating jellyfish in the colors of white and blue."

”Hotaru decided to try and slay the beast, so she could do something, Anything to break the monotony of roaming nothingness. With a few quick swipes, the creature ran away back into the portal it came from. Hotaru took this opportunity to hop into the portal with it. What she then saw next was a strange plane of existence that resembled outer space, only a lot more fast pace and full of portals to strange locations. Hotaru couldn’t control herself being gravitated to one of these portals, being sucked into it and spat out into a different dimension.”

”After recovering from the fall she took when she was ejected from the portal, Hotaru woke up in a strange land. It heavily resembled a tropical island, just like the one in Hawaii. But, there were a lot of weird monsters across the land, ones that resembled animals but didn’t exactly look like them. Hotaru began to walk around and transformed back into her normal self after encountering humans. One of them, a lady with dark skin and dark hair ran up to Hotaru, not recognizing who she is.”

”Hotaru was more curious about where she was than anything at first. The lady explained to her that she is located in the Alola region. It wasn’t really helpful, so Hotaru still had no idea where she was. So, the lady decided to generously take Hotaru to her home after realizing that she was in a lot of trouble. The lady asked for Hotaru’s name. Not wanting to really do much with her past, Hotaru decided to say that her name was ‘Selene’ instead, something that she made up while trying to think of some names in her head.”

”Within the home, she also met someone named Elio, as well as a bipedal cat with a coin on its head. Hotaru asked Elio about the strange creature. He explained to her that it was a Meowth, a Pokemon. A Pokemon? What’s that? Hotaru was extremely confused with the matter, yet at the same time fascinated with the ‘Pokemon’. In the coming days, Elio and his mother helped teach Hotaru about the new world she was in, most notably learning about Pokemon.”

"Hotaru definitely thought about how the people talk about Pokemon a ton, ranging from the battles they do with them to the contests and breeding. They made an entire sport across the entire region about facing trials with Pokemon in an “Island Challenge”. Despite how much it was to wrap her head around things, Hotaru wanted to learn more about these creatures, deciding to capture and research them.”

”After a few weeks, Hotaru was acclimated to her environment. Alongside changing her name to Selene, she decided to change her outfit from her plaid shirt and skirt to a floral shirt and sea green shorts as well as giving herself a minor hairdo. Even with the new identity, Hotaru occasionally gets night terrors from the mistake she did so many years ago.”

“Hotaru, now known as Selene, lives the rest of her days being a Pokemon researcher, hoping to become a professor someday. As for her Transformation Pen, she’d kept it locked within a chest, making sure that she would never, ever transform into Sailor Saturn ever again. She lost countless friends and endless lives because of it, and she didn’t want to do the same with her brand-new friends. It was a bittersweet ending for Hotaru, but at least she can rest more easily.”
