I absolutely love your style, how every detail only emphasises the rest;
For example, the leaf shape in this context as a metaphor, the 'breaking the rules' by painting over the frame, the tiny bit of imbalance of the composition.
However, what struck me the most was that it was painted on handmade paper. I don't know if you meant that you made it yourself or not, but it certainly added more weight to the creation.

There aren't many things, in my opinion, that make an artist happier than knowing someone actually 'got' what they meant by their work.
My former signature quote was 'the fact that no one understands you doesn't make you an artist'.

Oh yes there is much pain and pleasure in creativity.
Sometimes my images turn out just how I imagined and sometimes they don't turn out at all! And sometimes they turn out completely different yet suprisingly wonderful!

Yes, the cycle of life !and the crossing white line is the center of the whirl which always calm, the state of awareness....equilibrium !. we are whirling with the cycle of emotions because of our ignorance about the center. and creativity is the way to be in balance !
